Hi, my name is Vijay

Data Engineer with a strong foundation in Big Data having four and half years of experience in IT Services. Proficient in managing and processing large-scale data using big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and Oozie.

In addition to my technical proficiency, I am skilled in various programming languages including Scala, Python, SQL, and R. My skills extend to deploying applications using Jenkins on big data clusters, utilizing cloud storage services like S3 and RDS, and working with cloud platforms for clients in the areas of Finance, Banking and Hospitality Industry. My professional credentials include certifications in Machine Learning(IBM), Data Science (IBM), Data Analytics (Google), and Statistics.

In addition to my work experience, I have also worked on projects such as predicting successful landings for Falcon 9 first-stage boosters to building a data vault for storing and analysing medical imaging data. My achievements include the "Team Award" from Altimetrik for presenting a POC based on genAI, the "A-Team" Award six times from Mindtree Ltd for collaborative team spirit and "Academic Excellence" in my bachelor's degree.

Currently, I have completed a Master of Science degree in Data Science at the University of Birmingham, where my academic interests align with my enthusiasm for utilizing data-driven insights to tackle interesting problems.
